A Bolívia revisa contratos de lítio com China e Rússia

O presidente impulsiona a revisão de acordos de investimento

Houve episódios documentados de rejeição legislativa e mobilizações públicas contra acordos com empresas estatais russas e consórcios chineses, destacando que a negociação desses projetos tem sido marcada por tensões entre a necessidade de atrair capital e o desejo de manter um forte controle estatal sobre os recursos estratégicos. Revisão contratual e novo marco legal

Paz planeja contratar auditorias externas e revisões jurídicas para identificar possíveis irregularidades nos acordos existentes e renegociar cláusulas que, em sua visão, limitam a transparência ou reduzem a capacidade do Estado de fiscalizar as operações. Segundo a Bloomberg, o objetivo é estabelecer um marco regulatório que preserve a soberania sobre os recursos e, ao mesmo tempo, abra caminho para parcerias com capital ocidental interessado em diversificar suas cadeias globais de suprimentos.
